Granite Construction Company is requesting quotes from all qualified DBE subcontractors and suppliers including firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to:
Lead Compliance Plan, Construction Area Signs, Traffic Control, Prepare Water Pollution Control Plan, Clearing and Grubbing, Roadway Excavation, Rock Excavation, Shoulder Backing, Structural Excavation, Decomposed Granite, Erosion Control, (Dry Seed), Class II AB, Hot Mix Asphalt, HMA Dike (Type A), Cold Plane Asphalt Concrete Pavement, Continuously Reinforced Concrete Pavement (Concrete Apron), Structural Concrete, HDPE Piping, Rock Slope Protection, Minor Concrete, Pavement Delineation and Signage, Lighting and Flashing Beacon System, Sculpted Shotcrete (Basket and Nobi), Material Supplier and Trucking.
Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Granite will work with interested subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.

Scope of work:
The overall objective of the work is rehabilitation of the west aircraft parking apron with new pavement surface, tie-downs and markings. More specifically, the project consists of tie-down anchor removal, paint removal, asphalt pavement removal, base re-compaction, new asphalt surface course, new tie-down anchors and paint marking.

Granite is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. This will be a prevailing wage job. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, DIR registration number, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. Granite intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.
