Services needed: Granite Construction Company (Granite) is requesting quotes from all qualified subcontractors and suppliers including certified DBE firms for the following items of work, including but not limited to:

Prepare Lead Compliance Plan, Construction Area Signs, Traffic Control, Channelizers, Portable Message Boards, Temporary Crash Cushions, Temporary K-Rail, Prepare WPCP, Implementation of WPCP Measures, Temporary Concrete Washout, Remove and Install New Guardrail, Miscellaneous Roadside Signs, Cold Plane Asphalt, Shoulder Machine Rent, Provide Import and Aggregates, Erosion Control, Profile Grinder Rent, Provide HMA Binder, Ground-In-Rumble Strip, Asphalt Dike, Install Downdrains, Install Rock Slope, Install Curbing and Flatwork, Concrete Barrier, Marking & Striping, Pre/Post Survey and Electrical.

Quotations will be broken down into comparable packages as reasonably necessary. Granite will work with interested subcontractors to identify opportunities to break down items into economically feasible packages.

Scope of work: Cold plane AC pavement and place HMA (Type A) and RHMA (Gap Graded)

Plans and specifications are available at your local Builders Exchange and/ or on the CDOT website: http://www.dot.ca.gov/hq/esc/oe/weekly_ads/index.php. They are also available for viewing at our office located at 2716 Granite Court, Fresno CA.

Requirements: Granite is signatory to Operating Engineers, Laborers, Teamsters, Cement Masons and Carpenters unions. This will be a prevailing wage job. 100% performance and payment bonds may be required for the full amount of subcontract price. Granite will pay for bond premium up to 1.5%. Subcontractors must possess a current contractor’s license, DIR registration number, insurance and worker’s compensation coverage meeting Granite’s requirements and will be required to sign the standard Granite Subcontract Agreement. A copy of the insurance requirements and agreement can be obtained by contacting the estimator. Granite intends to work cooperatively with all qualified firms seeking work on this project.
